QBE LMI seeks to preserve home ownership whenever possible and is keen to support you and your customers should they experience short term difficulties in mortgage repayment.

When to make a claim:

  • If the mortgaged property has been sold and settled; or
  • If we ask you to claim before the mortgaged property is sold.

    How to make a claim:

    Step 1 
    Complete a Claim for Loss Form

    Step 2
     
    Attach to your claim before the mortgaged property is sold

    • loan account statement from exception
    • mortgage sale settlement statement; and
    • loan agreement, mortgage document and any other relevant security documents

    Step 3 
    Send your Claim for Loss Form to your QBE LMI office for prompt processing

    Step 4
     
    Following the processing of an approved claim, we will forward the claim cheque directly to you together with a Deed of Assignment.
